FWF Sheep

It's FRIDAY! *woot *woot*
I have BIG plans to make some layouts and a handful of cards this weekend!
I found a new blog challenge over at
The challenge is to use farm animals and these Unity sheep are PERFECT.
My favorite has been to use them for baby cards...
I didn't add a sentiment though; I'm hoping you all can help me?
Should I use the "Love Ewe" sentiment or should I use Thickers
and make my own saying?
Or better yet leave them just the way they are?

Blue for boys:

Pink for girls:

Thanks for stopping by, don't forget to check out all the wonderful projects on display

PDCC95 I Adore You

This is a color combo I would never have thought of all on my own...

I do kinda like it though...sorta reminds me of preppy Polo shirts.

Here's my design:
I didn't have much navy paper but I found this big thick ribbon I had in my stash.
Originally I had a bow on it, but it seemed to big and distracting...
The pink swirl design is almost the last of my Bella Blvd scraps.
The sentiment is from the co-brand Echo park and Unity Stamp Co. set I Adore You
I love the added bling the stars bring to this design, livens things up a bit I think!

Margarita Life

I've had this Margarita Moments Unity set from a blog win a long time ago.
I'm not much a of margarita drinker so the set just sat and sat...
But I wanted to practice with my Copics so I stepped out of my comfort zone
and made this simple card:

I thought it would make a good birthday card for friend?
I love how the Bella Blvd paper sets off the bright yellow and greens of the stamp.

This week All Things Unity is making it really easy to play!
If you've never linked up over there... NOW is the time!

Owl you doin'?

I just can't get enough of this little Melvin character...
Reminder:  He's from the new stamp company Sweet Stamp Shop

I got this "hole in the card" idea from one of their Sweet Tooth Gals:
She used the idea for her Gnomes and I simply fell in love with the design.

I'm still using up my Bella Blvd scraps...
I love how the wood grain is blue; it makes the card super funky and light hearted!

Sorry I've been missing lately, just getting over a nasty cold turned sinus infection.
I should be on the mend soon... I better be, I'm losing precious time on my challenge!

Life IS good.

This sentiment is such a great reminder to be happy and appreciate the little things...
I love a laugh especially at my own expense!
Story time:
I made an appointment Saturday at a consignment store to sell some home goods. The irony is, the
store is directly next door to an Archiver's... dun dun dun!!!
I walked in, heart racing, and immediately began justifying how I could buy one stamp or one small
Authentique paper pad...
As I walked around the store, battling with myself, there she was
amidst the Echo Park and October Afternoon plaid paper...
My scrappy friend Heidi to the rescue!
Miles from home (an hour to be exact) she saved me from cheating!

We had a good laugh, I gave her my 30% off coupon,
and we enjoyed a little make and take together:
Cute huh?  Heidi agreed I could count this happy little card in my challenge.
So 30 more it is!

The Play Date Cafe #94

I fell in LOVE with this color combo as soon as I saw it over at
It just seems to inspire me.
I've had this Stella and Rose My Minds Eye paper for awhile now...
I loved it too much to ever use it! Does that ever happen to you?
I must have know this challenge was brewing.
I've noticed many others used this paper as well.
I kept all the designs clean and simple.
Here's bonus 3x3 I made with scraps.
I wanted to make sure to use every piece!

FWF Birthday Bike Thanks

Happy Friday Unity lovers!
Today I have a card I made for my hubby to give out...
Yesterday was his Birthday and my family and I went in together to get him a bike!
He was awfully excited and grateful.

I knew I wanted to make his thank you cards so
I channeled Emily Leiphart who LOVES bike stamps. :)
And I came up with this adorable co-brand Unity and Echo Park stamp I had.

I used October Afternoon design paper and the letters are OA too.
I punched the notebook edge with my EK Success punch,
added some distress ink around all the edges to rough it up a bit
and topped it off with jute twine.
I made him a set of three.

Hope you like it as much as I do, thanks for stopping!

Melvin and Vernie

Lucky me won this Melvin and Vernie stamp set from the
I highly recommend you follow the link and check out their CA-UTE stamps!!!

I colored these sweeties with my copics...
The tree paper is Bella Blvd.  So perfect for owls right?!
I enlisted the help of my hubby for the coloring...
He doesn't care about my crafting.  Come to think of it, I'm not even sure he knows I have a blog!
Surprisingly he confirmed he liked the grey :)
Maybe next time I'll try browns...

CAS mini's

Our A/C is finally fixed!
In the mean time, I've been making a handful of mini's...
Unfortunately, I was making a set for a friend and I
didn't photograph them before I sent 'em off in the mail.
SO you'll just have to trust I made 10. She can vouch once she receives them :)

These little CAS mini's are for an order my mother placed.
She's by far my biggest fan and was my first blog follower! hehe
She's a teacher and very thoughtfully planned
a welcome back to school surprise for a few of her closest co-workers...
The celebrate sentiment is to "celebrate the new school year"
Her idea; I just made the product.
Cute huh?!
As for my challenge...
I'm counting all 10 of the mini's I made for my friend but I'll count this apple set as "one"
My goal is to finish the challenge before Scrapfest at the Mall of America
September 16th-18th YIKES!!!  The pressure is on!

Surviving...barely.

Our A/C is on the fritz.  Totally kaput.
and it won't be fixed until Thursday.
Therefore not much creating going on for me this week!!!
Mostly just laying on the couch under a large ceiling fan.

I thought I'd share my wish list of products I want to purchase upon completion of my 100 Challenge.
It has been brutal really, I will have a HUGE sense of accomplishment when I'm done though!

My newest craving is for Waltzingmouse Stamps.
They are adorable and so unique coming all the way from Ireland!!!

Say It Loud (top of my list and perfect sentiment set with fancy swirly, bold words)
Bitty Banners (just to keep up with those trendy banners you see everywhere)
Dainty Doilies (so pretty for backgrounds and fit my Spellbinders scalloped circles)

I'm also hurting for some new Spellbinders Nestabilities sets:

The list of Unity Stamp Co. set I want is way too large to post here
but one Itty Bitty's I'm jonesing for:

Hopefully I can pull together something for the FWF hop on Friday but I can't guarantee anything.

Have a happy week and stay cool!
