Etsy Inspired Challenge

So I've found another blog to enter my creations in
They choose an Etsy store to for us to find inspiration from and this weeks store is

Here is the piece that caught my attention:

I can imagine wearing this GORGEOUS necklace with a black sheath dress to wedding...
ahhh I just adore the colors!  They are so out of the ordinary for me.

Here is what I made:

I distressed the three circles with Tim Holtz distress ink and crumpled them for some texture
Then I added the SAME button (what luck!) threaded some twine from The Twinery
and stamped the sentiments from Unity's stamp set Life Becoming.

I really had a ball with this challenge and hope to participate next week
and the following week
and the week after that.......

hehe Have a great day!!!

hello there

Happy Tuesday!
Today's card is kinda fun...and simple.
I say that a lot but I L-O-V-E simple.

Just some plain ol' cardstock, a Martha Stewart butterfly punch and an {ippity} stamp.
I love a little sparkle so I added some iRock gems; couldn't resist.
Leave a comment, let me know you were here,
I really love to hear what you think!
Now, I better get back to work...boo!

Pickin' Friends

I am VERY blessed with a wonderful group of friends...
and through this blog and SCS am meeting so many blogland friends!!!

Here's a card to celebrate all my amazing friends:

This darling little lady is a Pure Innocence clear stamp for My Favorite Things.
The set is called Bunch of Blooms.

I colored her with my Copics
and displayed her on We R Memory Keepers patterned paper...
There is a little diamond Stickles on the flowers, though it's hard to see in this pic.

Also, a HUGE welcome to my newest blog followers!!!
Almost 30... WOW.

Relax...

For this CAS card I used Unity's

I colored this happy little frog with my Copic markers...
(and go easy on me this is my first attempt at using my blending tool)

He's framed with Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Squares
and I topped him off with some Cosmo Cricket scrap ribbon and that's it!

I didn't get much crafting done this weekend.
Lost my mojo. Hopefully it will return soon!

I'm still thinking SPRING!
(Maybe wishing spring...)

Here are two simple cards with a similar design:

I used Echo Park paper and Unity/Ippity stamps for both cards

Sweet Thoughts

I am now an Ippity stamp user!
I found a great deal on two sets from a SCS member.
I really wanted this Sweet Thoughts of Spring set...
That bunny was calling my name; I swear I heard it!!!
Isn't she just darling?!

I am also now a Spellbinders Nestabilities user...
I always resisted because I thought $25 was too expensive until
TA-DA **imagine a halo and angels singing here**
 Joann had them 40% off!!!

So, I colored my sweet bunny gal with Copics and framed her with the "Labels Four" set.

Simple. just the way I like it.

Burlap-tastic!

Burlap + Fantastic = Burlap-tastic

I can't get over how FUN this burlap adventure is!!!
From banners to framed art the possibilities are endless... ;)

With so many Cricut cartridge images you really can make anything to fit your style.
Just choose your image and use the negative space as a stencil.
Easy peasy!!!

The love sentiment is from the Home Decor cartridge
and the butterflies are from Give a Hoot.

Any frame will do, this one is an 8 x 10 I had laying around in my craft room.

Cheep AND adorable...I like that.

P. S. I entered this in a butterfly blog linky party at:

Check out all the beautiful butterfly creations!

I {heart} Burlap!

So it's been a slow crafty week for me...
I have LOTS of ideas but not much time to get them done!!!
*sigh*
I found this burlap banner idea on Etsy.
I've never worked with burlap so I had no idea what to expect...
I can see a million flaws but I look forward to making more and improving each time.

I used my Cricut to make stencils for the letters and the hearts.
Instead of paper (it gets too soggy with paint) I cut the images out of vinyl.
The vinyl stuck to the burlap too so I was able to get crisper paint lines.

Because I don't sew, I used Stitch Witchery to bond the burlap to the ribbon.
It seems to hold really well and was very easy to use!

I have more burlap crafty ideas coming soon so stay tuned!

The little things...

It really is the little things that make life BIG right?

I made this card for my beautiful niece, Reese...
She was Baptised this afternoon
and was quite the little champ about it, not a single tear!

I don't have any religious stamps but I thought this sentiment summed it up.
It's from a set call Good Thoughts by Stampers Anonymous.

Bridget is such an amazing mother...I truly admire her.
My husband and I often plot to steal their older child, Braydon.
He's a little model with a great sense of humor (at age 3 I might add)

Hope you had a wonderful day Bridget!
I felt honored to witness such a special moment....

Today I have a birthday card to share with you...
it is also my entry for the weekly sketch challenge on SCS.

Check out the sketch:

And here's my design:

I have LOTS of nieces and nephews
and have found birthday cards for children are not my strength...
I cheat by using awesome paper like this Echo Park 'Little Boys' line. hehe

Here's a close up of the Unity Stamps:

The ticket was a grab bag special and the 'celebrate' sentiment is from Happy Everything
I get so much use out of that set.
{highly recommend it if you don't already have it}

That's all my friends!
Have a wonderful and scrappy weekend!

Spring Cards

Is it too early for Spring?
Wishful thinking maybe?

Well the bright colors and happy attitude of Spring has got me feeling hopeful...

If you have the winter blues...checkout these cards.

My hope is they will lift your spirits!

These first two are my favorite and would be great Mother's Day cards....

The paper is all scraps from last years We R Memory Keepers Easter line.

Simple but FUN I think...

Two of these cards qualify for the Unity Challenge
