Unity's June KOTM Sketch

Sketch challenges are my favorite!
Here's the inspiration piece we were given:

And here is my card:

I used Close to My Heart design paper and of course, as the directions state,
I used Unity KOTM months stamps only.

I think this will make a nice birthday card for someone special.
76 cards or layouts to go and I can shop!
ugh...sounds so far away.

All Things Unity #33

I entered this All Things Unity challenge in just the nick of time!
The rules were to make something masculine with Unity or Ippity stamps.
Not usually my strong point (masculine) so I had to try.

Here's my design:
Apples are masculine right?  I suppose this card could really be for anything:
a birthday, a thank you, or literally "just a note"
I used my Copics to color the apple and my colorless blender to shade the center.
Not sure if you can tell, but I did 'pop' the colored apple for some dimension.

I've been wanting to try this stamping technique;
Repeat images and then focusing one in color.
I actually really like it...
Now I have big plans to try it with some flower stamps I have.
Thanks for stopping by again.
Now go check out the other projects Unity fans submitted!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!
I am so lucky to celebrate with my Dad (and Mom) at the
Stone Arch Festival in NE Minneapolis.
Last year the three of us started the tradition.
Who doesn't love art and lunch?!

I played around with my 'warmify' setting on Picasa for this photo:

This is a scraplift card I made for my Dad.
I found the idea on Echo Park's Facebook page.
They chose the cards to display on their blog HERE

Here's my design:

Hope you all enjoyed this special day as much as I did!

Two Echo Park Birthday Cards...

I am a HUGE Echo Park fan...
I never want to throw away
any EP scraps; no matter how small.

I made two birthday cards using their Little Boy line:
Both sentiment stamps are from Close to My Heart sets
and the blue frame is a Unity Itty Bitty.
Clean and Simple.

Just a Few Birthday Cards

It's been way too long since I've participated in Unity's FWF
No excuses just busy...

So I made two cards to share in effort to make up for my absence :)
 Enjoy!

I thought this looked a little like a chalkboard once I finished! It's grab bag stamp.
For this card I used October Afternoon paper, don't really know why but I am very happy with how this card turn out.  Must be the colors.

Have a happy Friday my scrappy friends!!!

A Wedding Card

I still adore Echo Park's line Be Mine...
I have both Unity Stamp sets now
but only few paper scraps left over from scrapping my wedding.
I made this card for a light green and light pink themed wedding.
In addition, the couple is honeymooning in Paris. (LUCKY)

The sentiment "happy everything" is simple though
it has big meaning. It sends wishes of
a happy wedding day, a happy honeymoon,
and of course a happy life together.

Thanks for looking, hope you like it!

Mini's for Shauna

I feel so humbled when others ask me to create for them...
An old friend asked me to make some "lovey dovey" mini's
she could give her boyfriend.

I knew my Echo Park + Unity co-brand stamps would be perfect:

Here's a bonus card for you
(it won't fit in an envelope and you just HAVE to have it)
It's from Unity's Sexy Silly and Sassy store set:

I've made this first card before but I am in LOVE with red/white/kraft color combo:

These two I'm entering in the Unity theme challenge Tooty-Fruity:

Hope you like 'em Shauna!!!

Mini's For Jessica

A weekend of mini's!!!
Oh how I LOVE to make mini's...
Once I start, I just can't STOP!

I thought these two were so happy and have a little summer feel...

A couple of clean and simple...

These Pure Innocence girls from My Favorite Things are just too cute...

I used October Afternoon paper on these beauties...

I used my Close to My Heart stamps, Unity Stamps and My Favorite Things stamps
sort of a hodge-podge of cuteness...
How Fun?!

100 Cards or Layouts Challenge

So it's time for a challenge!

For those of you who have been following the news...
Minnesota is looking at a very likely government shut down.
As a "non-essential" (their words, not mine) employee,
I may be looking as having LOTS of crafty time without the funds to shop freely.

So insert challenge HERE.

I will be banning myself from shopping for new stamps, paper, Copics, ink etc. until I make
100 cards or layouts!!!
Seriously, I am gonna DO IT! Well, I kinda HAVE to do it. hehe

I spent my last dollars at Unity Stamp Co's HUGE summer warehouse sale.
I thought I'd show you some of the goodies that will help keep me focused:

I added a text box to the right so you can follow my progress.
I haven't decided if I will show EVERY card/layout
I make on my blog yet, we'll see how it goes...
oh the only rule is I can shop for glue but ONLY with a 40% coupon.
So without further ado,
Let the challenge BEGIN!!!
