CAS Everything Matters

It's Monday...again.
Only a few Bachelor episodes left.
It's STILL winter. YUCK.
I was busy this weekend making cards and cleaning my scrappin' desk.

Highlight of the weekend was being featured on the Unity Blog
Check me out HERE
Oh and I watched the red carpet.
LOVED Mandy Moore and Mila Kunis!!!!

I'm trying to use my Unity grab bag stamps as much as possible.
When I first saw this border stamp I wasn't so sure I would use it.
Turns out I really enjoyed paper piecing with it!
Can you imagine the different possibilities?!

The sentiment is from my NEW Melody Ross set.
I can't get over her!!!
*Note to Self:  BUY Melody Ross Unity stamps again.

Clean and VERY simple today...
Sometimes that's okay right?

Unity Sketch Challenge HHSC46

Alright week SEVEN of the Unity Challenges on SCS.
Luck be a lady!!!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my design:

I love this Itty Bitty because I never have enough sympathy cards.
This saying is just perfect too because it can be used for so many occasions.

I have little to no self control when it comes to Unity Itty Bitty's...
They are so easy to drop in your cart as an 'extra' when ordering online!

The paper is from My Mind's Eye and the yo-yo string is from The Twinery.

Thanks for stopping by!

Think Spring!

My BEST customer has ordered again...
{never mind she is my SISTER}
This time she wanted three springy "tags"
So I went shopping and bought ANOTHER Unity set:
I had a coupon okay?!

These butterflies are HUGE and were very easy to cut out-
I love that!

I used my iRock tool and gems to adhere the sparkle...

I have LOTS of Tim Holtz distress ink but I don't like the way the ink looks on large stamps.
So I used Colorbox cat eye chalk.
{I would love to hear what brand ink you all use}

I am sooo ready for Spring
and butterflies
and flip flops
and warm sunshine....

Unity Friends with Flair

So glad you stopped by!
This is my second time participating in this blog hop...and I'm so VERY excited!
Be sure to check out the entire list of special Unity crafty ladies HERE.

SO...
Do you play in the new
Unity Challenge?
I do!!!

The theme for the first month is HEARTS
and this theme inspired the card I have to share with you today!

Seems to be lots of new babies entering our little world lately...
and this sentiment fit perfectly where I needed it!
The 'happy new baby' sentiment is from one of my favorite sets:

I used My Mind's Eye scraps for the patterned paper
and the heart is an Itty Bitty.

Thanks again for stopping by...
Hope you like it!

Matron of Honor and Personal Attendant Pages

love... love... LOVE Crate Paper, Inc.
It's sooo thick and sturdy and perfect for layouts!
I'm still keeping with my resolution to stamp on my pages...

Of COURSE I used Unity Stamps.
I did some small paper piecing on the butterfly; really wanted the heart to POP.
This is my lovely sister, Amanda...

Bridget is my beautiful sister-in-law.
{Sandra Bullock look alike I might add}
She was pregnant with my niece Reese at the time and was on BED REST!
But she pulled through and made sure I was taken care of all night.

Love you sweet Bridget!!!

Don't forget to stamp on your chip board...such an easy addition to open spaces.
This bird is stamped with, "Embrace each moment."

Snowed in on this President's Day but I'm loving every extra crafty minute!

Unity Stamp Sketch HHSC45

So I had to take a forced vacation from blogging...
Our computer went on the fritz and $200 later, I'M BACK!

Here's this week's Unity sketch challenge on Splitcoast Stampers:

And here is my take on the design:

I am such a HUGE fan of Crate Paper!
This is an older line called Cottage.
Look for it again on some wedding pages...

Oh and I took an extra minute to do some embossing on the sentiment.
Love the look but too risky for this perfectionist!

Unity Sketch Challenge HHSC44

I may have become addicted to these sketch challenges.
I think it's now become about how many I have to enter before I win those amazing Unity Stamps!
But then... if I win stamps... I'll just want to keep playing until I win again...

I sorta compare it to the lottery {which I don't play}
If you pick the same numbers every week...
and take a week off...
is that week your numbers will get drawn?

Do you see how I've gotten myself addicted?!

::sigh::      So here's this week's sketch:

And here's my card:

I used paper scraps from My Mind's Eye and We R Memory Keepers.
The hot air balloon was a grab bag deal from an old kit of the month
and the sentiment is from Sentiments O'Simple.

A Crafty Valentine Surprise!

I've been so excited to share my newest crafty adventure!
Paint Samples + Bind-It-All = adorable notebooks!

These are the largest notebooks measuring 5 x 6
I made these two with my niece Lilly and nephew Bennett in mind.

Here are some close up photos:

And how fun that paint samples come in so many shapes and sizes!
{The rounded corners had this perfectionist rounding every corner of the paper inside}
Other paint brands have true corners if your not insane like me...

These medium notebooks measure 3 ¼ x 4 ¼

How adorable are the names for the Disney paint?!

And finally one last little notebook:

The Mickey notebook measures 3 ¼ x 2 ½ and is perfect for your purse or pocket.

The REALLY fun part is you can choose ANY color you can imagine
AND
 paint samples are FREE!!!

The possibilities are endless too.
I'm thinking about combining my love for these mini notebooks with my love for Unity Stamps.

Here's hoping you have a LOVELY and CRAFTY Valentine's Day!

Ceremony Layout

Here's another clean and simple layout.
Many of you said the CAS layout from a few days ago was your favorite so I got inspired!
What do you think?

We had one of the most AMAZING ceremony sites.
Even though it was really hot and humid we lucked out and had sunny skies...
I would highly recommend a Friday night 7:00 ceremony to anyone!

Looking at all these pictures makes me want to get married all over again...
I think this picture looks like a post card.
I had the greatest. photographer. EVER.

One HANDSOME ring bearer

Check out my adorable nephew Braydon.
Have you EVER seen a more handsome little man?!
I've been told he is miniature version of my even more handsome husband...
I love that.

I skipped the stamping on this layout. Didn't seem to need it with all of the chipboard accents.
The paper I used is the newest line from My Mind's Eye.  It's called fine and dandy.

ALSO...
I made a simple Birthday card with my paper scraps and stamps from my Unity grab bag:

That's all for now! Sure hope you are enjoying your weekend!
Look for my "surprise craft" post on Monday...

Radiant Red Rubber

Check out all these A-MAZING Unity Stamps that arrived in my mailbox today!
On Sunday Unity had a grab bag of 15 stamps on sale for $12...
$12?!
and I didn't get a single repeat! WAHOOO!!!

I cannot wait to get these little beauties inked up on some cards and layouts!

OH and I'm still working on my crafty surprise so nothing new to share tonight...
Anyone who knows me, knows I can barely hold on to gifts long enough to wrap them.
Ekk I just get to so freakin' excited!!!

Hopefully I will post by the weekend...ta-ta!

You Make Life Bright

Just a quick post tonight.
Sorry, I got distracted with another project I'm working on.
 {It's not a card and it's not a layout}
How do you like THAT for suspense?!

OK back to this post.

I used Unity Stamp Co. Sunny Happy Skies and the sentiment comes from Shine On!

...This card just screams HAPPY to me...

Can you picture yourself floating freely in that hot air balloon?
Maybe that's what I'll dream of tonight...

Three more wedding pages

I enjoy making cards but I L-O-V-E scrapbooking pages...
I am pretty excited I finished three pages on Saturday!
The Echo Park paper is really getting me in the mood to create.

{The first one is my favorite}

I don't do enough of these clean and simple layouts...
I don't know why because I always end up really liking them.
I guess I will have to try and remember that!
The ribbon looks really cool in person--it didn't photograph well.

The third page is done with SEI paper from the 'Madeline' paper pad.
I don't recall the company of the grey flower paper.
It's actually left over scraps from my guest book.
I didn't have a whole flower so that's why they are all on the edges.

As always, I love to hear what you think!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my design:

I used Echo Park paper and Unity's Be Mine stamp set.
I think this card is pretty fun.  What do you think?

So I'm not a Kit of the Month member...yet.

This February kit is really testing my will power!

Sisters in Law

Are you tired of the Restoration Collection from Crate Paper?
....Oh good me either!

I truly am blessed to have so many wonderful women in my life.
My husband can be quite a handful so I often tell myself these women were a very special gift and placed in my life to keep me sane when my husband drive me nuts.

When I tell them a story of what my husband said or did I never have to explain...
somehow they just get it.

A detail picture of the wonderful She Said stamp set from Unity Stamp Co.
The "27" came on the Crate Paper diecut sheet.
I just happened to be 27 when I got married!
Cool huh?

"She saw every ending as a new beginning"
